Cookies

Consent is required for cookies that are not strictly necessary — advertising, profiling, the analytics that follow you between sites. Skipwise does not set any of those, so there is nothing to ask you about and no banner to click away.

• Sign-in session cookies. Only on the operator and admin areas, and only once someone signs in. Customers booking a skip are never given one.
• Stripe's checkout cookies. Set by Stripe when the payment form loads, to detect card fraud. Payment does not work without them.

Both are strictly necessary: the first keeps an operator signed in, the second lets us take a payment safely. Neither is used to build a profile of you.

We count page views with Vercel Analytics. It sets no cookies, stores no identifier on your device, and does not track people across other websites. It tells us that a page was viewed, not who viewed it.

We also measure our own booking funnel — how far people get between seeing a price and booking. That uses one random number held in your browser's session storage for the life of the tab. It is not a cookie, it is not tied to your name or email, and it disappears when you close the tab.

If we add anything that sets a non-essential cookie, we will ask you first, and it will be off until you say yes.
